Bekenu Town

Bekenu town is small town located just outside of Miri.it is an about a 1hour drive from miri by using the new highway to bintulu town.The town grow with the oil palm in miri,oil palm is one of the main export to outside besides the oil and gas of miri and bintulu.Bekenu is a sleepy town,it provided daily needs offer in the local general store.there is a mini river park nearby.seems to be not much of an exciting activity going on...but its a stop point for tourist from miri to bintulu to have a tea break or a car service if something is wrong with your car.The fruit of the oil palm is the icon for the town...i took the picture in on the way back to miri and have a break at bekenu.So...stop by to bekenu town and pay a little visit to the town the next time you are on the way to bintulu...bekenu is waiting for you.

Pasar malam in bintulu

Deep fried drumstick!chicken wings!fish balls!niang tou fu!or perheps you like some fry noodle or fry rice sir?Once you enter the pasar malam of malaysia,it is our tradition to shout at customers to actract you to buy thier food or stuff...you can find most of you daily meal need in the pasar malam.there are vegetables,fish dead or alived,chickens and most of all is food!Everyone favorite satay,barbeque chicken wings,roti canai,roti john,burgers,fresh juices...you name it!this picture i took in bintulu,the chinese husband and wife has been selling the same thing over 20 years.the appetite of malaysian is never changed!and it is still delicious as always....i hope you like malaysian food too.

Hawaii Beach

The Hawaii beach located in subis area of miri,it is near to a small village.i took this picture in a rainy day.i was lucky to able to snap this picture before it rains cats and dogs!Hawaii beach name is stuck because the beach has a lots of coconut trees!you can also buy one of the coconut juice fresh from the tree from the local villages.if you doesnt like croweded beach,hawaii beach is your choice,because people rarely go there....it is hard to find and yet far from miri city.it is about a 1.30 hour drive from miri center.if you wanna go to hawaii beach,it is advised to get a map from the miri visitors information center.make sure to bring your sun block with you in the sunny day...because you may get a sun burn easily in hot weather.i hope you will like the hawaii beach of miri....

爱情悬崖

this picture i took in remote land of miri,its a 1 hour drive from the miri city center.it is rare to see a clife in sarawak...i dont think it has a name,the place is so hidden.me and my friend spend a hard time to search for this legendary 'clife of love'...that is the name my friend and me named it...it's very high.about more than 20 meters height from the sea level.beside it is the south china sea.it is not advise to stand to near to the clife,because it is very dangerous...besides the strong wind blowing and stuning scenery.it is a beutiful place to be...

Take a wild guess

you can find it easily at beaches in miri,it is round in shape and you'll found billions of this tiny mudballs by the beach.wonder how they do it?come to the beach at miri and watch the little engineer at work...they can produce billions of these ball over night.dont belived me?see for yourself...

The old chuck of wood

I was in esplannad beach in miri,sarawak.it was about at 4 in the noon.at esplannad beach miri,you will found yourself with miles of clear,clean costline.the sea water is pretty clean,you can find starfish,crabs,clams and alot of small creature living by the sea.at the weekend like sunday,there will be a lots of people comes to the beach to have fun.some bring their pet,some to show off their cars,some seek for a piece of mind.i was attracted by the delicious barbecue food they sell at the parking lot and the beutiful beach,you can only found the barberque people at saturday and sunday...if you comes in weekdays,sorry...only beach and no food for sell.i snap this picture because the sunset is very beutiful with this chuck of wood.it has been there for ages.i hope you like it...thank you.

shadow of the palm tree

Like i said before,dusk is my favorite time of the day.dusk at near to night can create a romantic feeling for us.the sunset by the beach,the coloured clouds,shadows of a plam tree,the wind blow softly through the hair...that is why i love the beach.everything is just too romantic for me.i took the picture at dusk in Piasau Boat Club,miri.i hid under shadow of the coconut tree to avoid the bright sunlight.and took this picture when i realize it was beutiful for me...hope you like it.

The forgotten Blue Sky

Sometimes i really love to gaze into the sky...For what i have notice all these years.The beutiful Blue sky has been forgotten by most of us.when i ask my friend to look into the sky,she just said:there is nothing to be watch,and then walked away.this picture i took in Piasau boat club miri.when i was laying down one of the chair,i noticed the sky is actually very beutiful.there is birds gliding through the sky,and clouds that can forms many pattents,challenging your imaginary.so,dont forget to sometimes gaze into the sky,you may realized something you never thought of...

Canada Hill

You can see the city just beneth the Canada Hill,at the top of miri.you can see the south china sea at far and the Miri city beneth the the hill.up in the canada hill,there is a petroluem muzium located there.many people comes to jogging at dusk,some comes to relax,some comes for some excersise.For me,i was actracted by the view on top....i took this picture back in the few years ago.i hope you all enjoy it...thank you.

Sunset is the one of my favorite time of the day...this picture i took from a small fishing village near to Lutong,Miri,sarawak.there is a young boy bending down to his family sampan to seperate the fish from the fishing net in the small sampan.i took this picture because i think the picture is too beutiful to resist,so i take out my phone and snap a picture with a sunset at the back...

The Ulumulu Restaurant

The Ulumulu Restaurant is located in Marina Bay,Miri,sarawak.It is a very high class Restaurant,the waitress is very polite in their way of service.if you want to celebrate some romance aniversary.i think this place will be the perfect place to spend some quality time.the building itself is like an piece of art,there are craving all over the building,the crusines served is pretty delicious.it is certainly a place to relax and spend some quality time....

clean up!

The picture shows the women are cleaning up the area of the Ulumulu Restaurant.the palm tree will sometimes drop the branches near the seaside and some of the 'visitors' or 'customers' near by will sometimes litter garbages on the seaside.that is a very unpolite doing,we are well educated people.even childrens knows litter is a bad things to do...so,please remember.if you want to maintain the beutiful looks of the place...please keep it clean.or the garbage will be still there the next time you came.thank you....

Miri is famous for it's oil and gas industry,when you think of oil and gas industry.you will mostly think of an offshore.today topic is the beach!
Miri's beach is famous in sarawak,it is really clean and beutiful,this is the one of the picture i took with my handphone,its only 1.3 megapixel...but i am satisfied with its quality.
