Novice filmmaker Marc Singer lived in the inside of a midtown Manhattan railway standing for two years to shoot this harrowing consideration of the day-to-day being of the homeless. Shot in noirish negro and white, Singer shows how fellowship's discarded and disenfranchised fashion a common of sorts in the sunless maze of the station's transit tunnels. Though told lacking narration, a dozen or so individual stories become visible. Dee (the sole woman depicted in the pellicle) lost all her children in a tribe fire while she was high adhering crack; Ralph remains inconsolable after his five-year intelligent's rape and mutilation during a cease in prison.
